This Privacy Policy explains how Catch Ride LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Forge by Catch Ride mobile application. Please read it carefully. By creating an account or using Forge by Catch Ride, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
The following definitions apply throughout this Privacy Policy. Additional terms may be defined in context where they first appear.
"App" or "Forge by Catch Ride" means the Forge by Catch Ride mobile application published by Catch Ride LLC, including all related features, content, and updates, regardless of the device or platform through which it is accessed.
"Catch Ride," "we," "us," and "our" mean Catch Ride LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company, which is the entity responsible for Forge by Catch Ride and the controller of personal information processed through the App.
"You," "your," and "User" mean the individual who creates an account and uses Forge by Catch Ride. Forge by Catch Ride is intended for professional farriers and other authorized business users who are at least eighteen (18) years of age.
"Client" means a customer, contact, or other individual whose information you enter into, store in, or manage through Forge by Catch Ride in the course of operating your farrier business.
"Client Information" means information relating to your Clients that you choose to record in the App, such as names, contact details, billing information, service history, and related notes.
"Horse Information" means records relating to the horses you provide farrier or hoof-care services to, or otherwise manage on behalf of your Clients or your own business, including identifying details, shoeing and care notes, service history, and related records.
"Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household. Personal Information does not include information that has been aggregated or de-identified such that it can no longer reasonably be associated with an individual.
"Services" means the features, functionality, and content made available through Forge by Catch Ride, including, without limitation, scheduling, client management, horse records, invoicing, reminders, business management tools, and other current or future features that we may make available through the App from time to time.
"Subscription" means a paid plan that provides access to certain Services, billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and managed through our subscription management provider.
"Device" means the smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device on which you install or access Forge by Catch Ride.
This Privacy Policy applies to Personal Information that we collect or process through Forge by Catch Ride and through your interactions with us in connection with the App, including when you contact our support team. It describes our practices as the controller of that information.
Forge by Catch Ride is a business management tool designed for professional use by farriers. Much of the information you enter into the App concerns your own business, your Clients, and the horses you service. When you enter information about other individuals—such as your Clients—you act as the party responsible for that information within your own business, and you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate basis for collecting it and recording it in the App. We process that information on your behalf and in accordance with this Privacy Policy in order to provide the Services to you.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to:
The practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, and any third-party websites, products, or services that you may access through links or integrations. Those third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.
The independent data practices of your Clients or other businesses, including how your Clients handle information you may share with them outside of the App.
Information you choose to share publicly or with others outside of Forge by Catch Ride.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use Forge by Catch Ride.
We collect information in three principal ways: information you provide directly, information generated through your business use of the App, and information collected automatically when you use Forge by Catch Ride. The categories below describe the types of information involved. The specific information we hold about you depends on how you use the Services and the features you choose to enable.
Information you provide directly. This includes the information you supply when you create an account, configure your business profile, and enter business records into the App. It includes your account credentials, the details of your farrier business, and the Client Information, Horse Information, appointments, invoices, notes, reminders, and other records you create through the App.
Information generated through your use of the App. As you use Forge by Catch Ride to manage appointments, record services, generate invoices, and organize your business, the App creates and stores records reflecting that activity. These records are associated with your account.
Information collected automatically. When you use Forge by Catch Ride, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information about your Device and your interactions with the App, as described in Section 4.
We do not knowingly collect more information than is reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Services, support our Users, secure the App, and meet our legal obligations.
When you use Forge by Catch Ride, certain information is collected automatically through standard mobile and software technologies. This information helps us operate the App reliably, diagnose problems, protect against misuse, and understand how the Services are used. Automatically collected information may include:
Device and technical information, such as device type and model, operating system and version, unique device or installation identifiers, language and region settings, time zone, and mobile network or general connection information.
Usage information, such as the features you access, the actions you take within the App, the dates and times of your interactions, screens viewed, session duration, and similar information about how you navigate and use the Services.
Diagnostic and performance information, such as crash reports, error logs, performance metrics, and other technical data that help us identify and resolve problems and maintain the stability of the App.
Approximate location information that may be inferred from your device settings or network connection (for example, from your IP address or region settings). Forge by Catch Ride does not collect precise geolocation data from your device's location services unless a feature that requires it is introduced in the future and you grant the necessary permission.
We may use service providers and standard software development kits to collect and process this information on our behalf. We do not use this automatically collected information to build advertising profiles or to sell information about you. See Section 12 for more detail about analytics and diagnostics.
To use Forge by Catch Ride, you must create an account. Authentication is performed using an email address and a password, and we use Supabase, a third-party platform, to provide secure authentication for the App. When you register and maintain your account, we collect and store:
Your email address, which serves as your primary account identifier and the means by which we communicate with you about your account, your Subscription, and the Services.
Your password in a protected form. We store passwords using industry-standard hashing and never store your password in plain text. We cannot recover your password for you; if you forget it, you can reset it through the account recovery process.
Profile and business details that you choose to provide, such as your name, business name, professional role, contact information, and preferences that help you configure the App for your business.
Account status information, such as your Subscription status, plan type, and records of your interactions with our support team.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us promptly at the address in Section 28.
A core function of Forge by Catch Ride is to help you manage relationships with your Clients. To provide this functionality, the App stores the Client Information you choose to enter. Depending on how you use the App, Client Information may include:
Client names and the names of associated businesses or contacts.
Client contact details, such as telephone numbers, email addresses, and mailing or service addresses.
Billing and payment-related details that you record for invoicing purposes, such as amounts owed, amounts paid, and payment history. Forge by Catch Ride is not a payment processor and does not collect or store full payment card numbers; you record only the billing information you choose to enter for your own recordkeeping.
Service history, notes, reminders, and other records that help you track your relationship with each Client.
You decide what Client Information to enter into Forge by Catch Ride. You are responsible for the accuracy of that information and for ensuring that you are permitted to record it. We process Client Information solely to provide the Services to you and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. We do not use your Client Information for our own independent marketing purposes, and we do not sell it.
Because Forge by Catch Ride is built for farriers, the App allows you to maintain records about the horses you provide farrier or hoof-care services to. Horse Information you choose to record may include:
Horse names, identifying details, and descriptions.
Ownership or association details linking a horse to a particular Client.
Shoeing, hoof-care, and service notes, including the history of services you have performed or scheduled.
Reminders and follow-up items related to a horse's care or your business with respect to that horse, such as upcoming shoeing or trimming cycles.
Horse Information generally concerns animals rather than individuals. However, where Horse Information is linked to a Client (for example, identifying a horse's owner), the associated details may constitute Client Information and are treated accordingly under this Privacy Policy. As with Client Information, you control what Horse Information you enter, and we process it solely to provide the Services to you. Forge by Catch Ride is a recordkeeping and organizational tool and does not provide veterinary advice or diagnoses; you are responsible for the professional judgments you make about the horses in your care.
Forge by Catch Ride helps you schedule appointments and organize your working calendar. When you use these features, we store the scheduling information you create, which may include:
Appointment dates, times, durations, and recurrence patterns.
The Clients and horses associated with each appointment.
Service types, locations or addresses you record for an appointment, and related descriptions.
Status information, such as whether an appointment is upcoming, completed, rescheduled, or cancelled.
Reminders you configure in connection with appointments and other tasks, such as recurring shoeing or trimming schedules.
This scheduling data is associated with your account and is used to provide calendar, scheduling, reminder, and organizational features within the App.
Forge by Catch Ride includes invoicing and business organization features that allow you to record the financial and operational details of your farrier business. Information stored in connection with these features may include:
Invoice records, including invoice numbers, line items, descriptions of services, quantities, rates, amounts, dates, due dates, and payment status.
Associations between invoices and the relevant Clients, horses, appointments, and services.
Business records such as service histories, notes, reminders, and other organizational information you maintain in the App.
Summary and reporting information generated within the App to help you understand and organize your business activity.
Forge by Catch Ride provides tools to help you create and track invoices for your own recordkeeping and business management. We do not process payments, and the App is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of the business records you maintain in the App.
Forge by Catch Ride may request permission to access the contacts stored on your Device. This permission is optional and is used to make it easier for you to add Clients and populate Client Information without manual entry. If you grant Contacts access:
We access contact details—such as names, phone numbers, and email addresses—only as needed to support the feature you are using, such as selecting a contact to add as a Client.
We use the contact information you choose to import to create or update Client records within your account.
We do not upload your entire address book for our own purposes, and we do not use your contacts to send marketing communications to the individuals in your address book.
You may grant or deny Contacts access when prompted, and you can change this permission at any time through your Device's system settings. If you deny or revoke Contacts access, you can still use Forge by Catch Ride and enter Client Information manually; only the contact-import convenience feature will be unavailable.
Forge by Catch Ride may request permission to access your Device's camera. This permission is optional and is used to support features that involve capturing images, such as attaching a photo to a Client, horse, or business record. If you grant Camera access:
We access the camera only while you are actively using a feature that requires it, and only to capture the image you choose to take.
Images you capture and choose to save are stored as part of your account records and are used to provide the relevant feature within the App.
We do not access your camera in the background, and we do not use the camera to collect information without your action.
You may grant or deny Camera access when prompted, and you can change this permission at any time through your Device's system settings. If you deny or revoke Camera access, you can still use Forge by Catch Ride; only features that rely on the camera will be unavailable. Depending on the feature, you may also be able to select existing images from your Device instead of capturing new ones, which may involve a separate photo library permission controlled through your Device settings.
We use analytics and diagnostic tools to understand how Forge by Catch Ride is used, to improve the Services, and to identify and fix technical problems. These tools may be provided by us or by third-party service providers and may collect information such as the technical, usage, diagnostic, and performance information described in Section 4.
We use analytics and diagnostic information to:
Measure and analyze how Users interact with the App in the aggregate, including which features are used and how the App performs.
Detect, diagnose, and resolve crashes, errors, and performance issues.
Plan improvements, develop new features, and prioritize our work based on how the Services are actually used.
Where we use third-party analytics and diagnostics providers, those providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions, and we limit their use of that information to providing services to us. We seek to minimize the amount of personal information processed for analytics and to rely on aggregated or de-identified information where reasonably practicable. We do not use analytics information to sell information about you or to serve you third-party advertising.
We may add, remove, or change analytics and diagnostics providers over time as we improve the App. When we make material changes that affect how your information is processed, we will update this Privacy Policy in accordance with Section 27.
Forge by Catch Ride and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies—such as software development kits (SDKs), local storage, mobile device identifiers, and similar tools—to operate the App, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the App, and understand how the Services are used.
We use these technologies to enable core functionality, such as authentication and session management; to remember your settings and preferences; to analyze usage, performance, and traffic patterns; and to detect and prevent fraud and technical problems.
Because Forge by Catch Ride is primarily a native mobile application, most of these technologies operate through your Device and the SDKs integrated into the App rather than through traditional web browser cookies. Where the App or our related web pages use browser-based cookies, you can usually control or delete them through your browser settings, and you can manage certain advertising or device identifiers through your Device's system settings. If you disable or reject certain technologies, some features of the App may not function as intended.
We do not use cookies or similar technologies to serve third-party behavioral advertising, and we do not sell information collected through these technologies.
Do Not Track and similar signals. Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting or similar mechanism. Because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret DNT signals, the App does not currently respond to browser DNT signals. You can still manage cookies and similar technologies as described above and adjust your Device permissions at any time.
We use the information described in this Privacy Policy for the following purposes:
To provide the Services. We use your information to operate Forge by Catch Ride, authenticate your account, store and display your business records, and make the App's features—including, without limitation, scheduling, client management, horse records, invoicing, reminders, and other business management features made available through the App—available to you.
To manage your account and Subscription. We use your account and Subscription information to administer your account, provide access to paid features, process Subscription status updates received from the app stores and our subscription management provider, and communicate with you about your account.
To support you. We use your information to respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide customer support.
To improve and develop the Services. We use usage, analytics, and diagnostic information to understand how the App is used, fix problems, enhance existing features, and develop new ones.
To secure the Services. We use information to protect the integrity and security of the App, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access, and enforce our terms and policies.
To communicate with you. We use your contact information to send you service-related communications, such as important notices about the App, your account, your Subscription, security, and changes to our terms or policies. Where we send any optional communications, we will do so consistent with your preferences and applicable law. You may opt out of promotional or marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages or by contacting us, and doing so will not affect service-related communications about your account, Subscription, or the Services.
To comply with legal obligations. We use information as necessary to comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, and protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not use the Client Information or Horse Information you store in the App for our own independent marketing purposes.
Depending on where you are located, data protection laws such as the European Union and United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation may require us to identify a legal basis for processing Personal Information. Although Forge by Catch Ride is offered primarily to professional users in the United States, we describe our legal bases here to be transparent and to account for Users who may be located in jurisdictions where these requirements apply. Where such laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract. We process your information as necessary to provide the Services you request, to administer your account and Subscription, and to fulfill our obligations to you under our terms.
Legitimate interests. We process certain information for our legitimate interests, such as securing and improving the App, understanding how the Services are used, providing support, and protecting against fraud and misuse, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Consent. Where required, we rely on your consent—for example, for optional Device permissions such as Contacts and Camera. You may withdraw your consent at any time through your Device settings, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Compliance with legal obligations. We process information as necessary to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Where you enter information about your Clients into the App, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate legal basis for collecting and recording that information within your business, and we process it on your behalf to provide the Services.
We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share it except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may share information in the following circumstances:
With service providers. We share information with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as authentication, database, and storage services; subscription management; and analytics and diagnostics. These providers are described further in Section 17.
At your direction. We share information when you direct us to do so or when sharing is an inherent part of a feature you use—for example, when you generate an invoice or record that you then provide to a Client outside the App.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or an enforceable governmental request; to enforce our terms and policies; to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Catch Ride, our Users, or others.
In connection with a business transaction. We may share or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or other business transaction, as described in Section 25.
With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction.
When we share information with service providers, we do so under contractual and technical safeguards designed to ensure that the information is used only to provide services to us and is protected appropriately.
We rely on a limited number of trusted third-party service providers to operate Forge by Catch Ride. These providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions, and they are authorized to use the information only as necessary to perform services for us. The providers we currently use include:
Supabase. We use Supabase to provide authentication, database, and file storage services and to host the backend data that supports the App. The account, business, Client, Horse, scheduling, invoice, and related records you create are stored in our Supabase-managed environment.
RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to manage Subscriptions in connection with Apple App Store and Google Play billing. RevenueCat helps us validate purchases, manage entitlements, and keep track of Subscription status. RevenueCat processes Subscription and transaction identifiers and entitlement status on our behalf; it does not receive your full payment card details.
Apple App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google process your purchases and Subscription transactions through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Your actual payment is processed by the applicable store, and we do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple's and Google's handling of your payment and account information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Analytics and diagnostics providers. We may use analytics and diagnostics providers to help us understand usage and diagnose technical problems, as described in Section 12.
We may add, remove, or change service providers from time to time as we improve and maintain the App. We select providers that we believe maintain appropriate security and privacy practices, and we limit the information shared with them to what is necessary for them to perform their services. If we add a new category of service provider that materially changes how your information is processed, we will update this Privacy Policy in accordance with Section 27.
We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and comply with our legal obligations. Our retention practices are designed to remain flexible as the App grows and our Services evolve.
While your account is active. We retain the account, business, Client, Horse, scheduling, invoice, and related records you create so that they remain available to you in the App. Because Forge by Catch Ride is a business management tool, much of this information is retained precisely so that you can maintain an ongoing record of your business activity.
Account and data deletion. You may request deletion of your account and the Personal Information associated with it at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 28, or by using any account deletion feature made available in the App. When you delete specific records within the App, we remove them from your active account in the ordinary course.
Retention for legal and business reasons. Following a deletion request or account closure, we may retain certain information where we are required or permitted to do so—for example, to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations; to resolve or defend against disputes; to prevent fraud and abuse; to maintain the security and integrity of the App; and to enforce our agreements. We retain such information only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Backups. Residual copies of deleted information may remain in our backup or log systems for a limited period before they are overwritten or securely deleted in the normal course of our system operations.
Aggregated and de-identified information. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you for analytics, reporting, product improvement, and other legitimate business purposes, and this Privacy Policy does not restrict our use or disclosure of such information.
If you would like us to delete your account and associated information, you may contact us as described in Section 28, and we will respond consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We may create, use, and retain aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data derived from information processed through the App, provided that such data does not identify you, your Clients, or any other individual. We may use this data for analytics, reporting, business intelligence, product development and improvement, benchmarking and industry insights, and other legitimate business purposes.
We retain all right, title, and interest in aggregated, de-identified, and anonymized data, and this Privacy Policy does not restrict our use or disclosure of it. We will maintain and use such data only in a de-identified or aggregated form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as necessary to verify our de-identification processes or as required by applicable law.
We take the security of your information seriously and maintain administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
Encryption of data in transit using standard transport security protocols, and protection of data at rest within our Supabase-managed hosting and database environment.
Storage of account passwords using industry-standard hashing rather than in plain text.
Access controls that limit access to Personal Information to authorized personnel and service providers who need it to operate the App and support our Users.
Use of reputable infrastructure and service providers that maintain their own security programs.
Ongoing efforts to monitor, maintain, and improve the security of the App.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You play an important role in protecting your information: please use a strong, unique password, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. If we become aware of a security incident that affects your Personal Information, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Information. These may include the right to:
Access the Personal Information we hold about you and obtain information about how we process it.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information. Much of your information can be reviewed and updated directly within the App.
Delete your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions where we are required or permitted to retain it.
Restrict or object to certain processing of your Personal Information.
Port your Personal Information by receiving it in a portable format, where applicable.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, including by changing Device permissions for Contacts and Camera.
Opt out of marketing. Where we send promotional or marketing communications, you may opt out at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages or by contacting us. You will continue to receive non-promotional, service-related communications about your account, Subscription, and the Services.
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or regulator if you believe our processing of your Personal Information violates applicable law.
You can exercise many of these rights directly within the App by reviewing, editing, or deleting your records and by managing your Device permissions. To make a request that you cannot complete within the App, please contact us at the address in Section 28. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
If your request concerns information about your Clients or horses that you have entered into the App, please note that you control that information within your account; in most cases you can address such requests directly through the App, and we will assist you as appropriate when you cannot.
This section provides additional information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). Where the CCPA applies, California residents have specific rights regarding their Personal Information.

In the preceding twelve months, we may have collected the following categories of Personal Information described in the CCPA: identifiers (such as your name, email address, and account or device identifiers); commercial information (such as Subscription and business records you maintain); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as usage and diagnostic information); and other information you provide in your business records. We collect this information for the business purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Sources and disclosure. We collect this information from you, from your use of the App, and from our service providers. We may disclose this information to service providers for business purposes, as described in Sections 16 and 17.
No sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.
Sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require us to offer a right to limit such use under the CCPA.
Your California rights. Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to know what Personal Information we collect, use, and disclose; the right to request deletion of their Personal Information; the right to request correction of inaccurate Personal Information; and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising their rights.
To exercise these rights, you may contact us at the address in Section 28. We will verify your request as required by law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

As our business develops, we may engage in transactions such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of some or all of our assets, or a similar transaction, or we may take steps in preparation for or in connection with such a transaction, including in the context of insolvency or bankruptcy. In connection with any such transaction, Personal Information may be transferred to, or reviewed by, the parties involved, including successors or assigns, as part of the assets of the business.
If such a transaction occurs, the recipient of the information will be bound by commitments that are consistent with this Privacy Policy, or we will notify you and, where required, obtain your consent before your Personal Information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy. We will provide notice of any change in the entity responsible for your Personal Information as required by applicable law.
This Privacy Policy, and any dispute arising out of or relating to it, is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, consistent with the governing-law provisions of our Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this Section limits any data-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own jurisdiction to the extent they apply to us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
If we make material changes, we will take additional steps to notify you as appropriate and as required by applicable law, which may include providing notice within the App, by email, or through other reasonable means.
